Last night I was browsing through my roommate's DVD collection and came across Forbidden Planet. I popped the movie in expecting a B movie with terrible special effects. I couldn't have been more wrong, both the movie and the special effects were great. I can't imagine how the accomplished the effects they did given the movie was released in 1956.If you are a sci-fi fan and haven't seen this classic, add it to your Netflix list or pick it up at the video store. You won't be disappointed.
